Tom Brady appeals NFL suspension for Deflategate

The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) officially filed an appeal of Tom Brady's four-game suspension, according to a statement released by the union on Thursday

On Monday, the NFL announced that Brady would be suspended for four games at the start of the 2015-16 season for his alleged knowledge of the Deflategate controversy. Furthermore, the New England Patriots were fined $1 million, and the Patriots will lose a first round draft pick in the 2016 NFL draft and a fourth-rounder in the 2017 draft

The Patriots came under fire for claims the team defalted footballs below the legal limit in the AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts last season. A report from an attorney investigating the incident placed some of the blame on Brady, who he said probably had "at least general" knowledge of what went on. Read more...
