Stupid Business Travel (Saved, A Little, By Uber)

I got up at 7 AM to get a 10 AM Amtrak train that traveled from the suburbs of Philadelphia to the city of Philadelphia and then to New York City. I took a black – Uber – car from my house to the train station. It came in just a few minutes. It was clean. The train was late and dirty; the seats were stained and torn. The guy in front of me had already reclined his seat as far back as it goes giving me about 6 inches for my legs and iPad. I rode backwards to Philadelphia so I could ride frontwards to NYC. Yes, really, that’s how it works (one reverses the procedure coming home). You never get to completely ride there or back facing your destination.
