Live-Action 'Star Wars' TV Show Reportedly In Development

There was a time, not so long ago, when Star Wars was a special thing. You had the first three movies, a hilarious - if embarrassing - holiday special, a couple straight-to-video deals, and the entirety of the Expanded Universe (which existed in books, comic books, and video games). But really, the thing that people truly held dear was that Original Trilogy; it was, and still is, an event of mythological proportions. And then, in the 1990s, the Original Trilogy gave way to the Special Edition Trilogy - a theatrical re-release of the first three films with all new scenes and computer-generated effects added in. There were moments of absolute cringe-inducing stupidity, but ultimately, the updated films did their job - they ramped up the excitement for the next big event in Star Wars live-action lore: The Prequel Trilogy.
