Sony Pictures Picks Up The Rights To 'Robotech'

Sony Pictures has picked up the rights to Robotech in the hope of turning it into a big blockbuster movie franchise. However, the history behind Robotech is a messy one and the movie rights have also changed hands a lot over recent years. From the likes of Tobey Maguire to Leonardo DiCaprio trying to get the franchise off the ground, it's never really panned out and this makes me uneasy.
