Google's new tools make your website look like Android

Material Design, Google's new design style for Android, has taken over its mobile operating system, but now the company wants to see it spread across the web

The search giant is now offering Material Design Lite, a set of tools that makes it easier for web designers to implement Material Design on their own websites. Google made the announcement on Medium.

Users can download components (bits of code), styles and whole templates to create their Material Design websites. That way, they can pick and choose which parts of their site they want to take on Google's look and feel. The tools are made to be responsive, meaning they'll adapt to the device the website is viewed on. They also work in any major browser except for Internet Explorer 9, where some features are scaled back. Read more...
