Inside Forbes: The Secret to Rebuilding a Magazine, Step-by-Step-by-Step (Photos and Charts)

Note: My last post was about the challenge of the classic 600-800 word digital article page in the world of millennials, mobile and social. So, I decided to practice what I preached, at least this time. It's now five years since we started to retool FORBES magazine. Here's a look at how we did it, with each graphic segment linking to more expansive narrative. The goal moving forward is to develop more scalable and flexible publishing tools and templates that enable staffers, contributors and consumers (particularly those using mobile devices) to cut, paste, reorganize and share discrete elements as they wish.
