CEUTA, Spain — Three armed and uniformed men stand watch outside a warehouse in North Africa. Behind them, a throng of veiled women are pushing in line.

It's true. The hundreds of Moroccan women behind him appear like a mirage in the early morning as they wait to strap massive packages of household goods to their backs.
