The Morality Of 'Game of Thrones' Piracy

Last week, HBO suffered an enormous leak of the first four episodes of season five of Game of Thrones, via someone being a bit careless or malevolent with their press screeners. At the time, I advised against watching the leaked episodes, not necessarily on moral grounds, but because the leak would create a poor viewership experience as you would then have to wait a whole month for more episodes after you’d finished the initial four. And despite the leak, Game of Thrones unsurprisingly went on to set ratings records for the fifth year in a row after the premiere.
