Skid Row, one of America's most challenged communities, is home to more than 1,700 homeless people sleeping in the street each night in downtown Los Angeles, California, according to LA officials
Though residents don't have much, once a week they get the opportunity for a little fun — at karaoke night.
These standing-room-only affairs are the work of Pastor Tony Stallworth at the Central City Community Church of the Nazarene in Los Angeles. He launched the first one 17 years ago after he himself found his way off drugs and off the streets, which were his home for 20 years
